# Staking on EOS

## **Step 1: Install Wombat Wallet on Desktop**

Go to the Wombat website and download the[ Google Chrome extension.](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wombat-gaming-wallet-for/amkmjjmmflddogmhpjloimipbofnfjih) \
Open the extension in your browser and sign in with Google, Facebook, Twitter, or Apple. Set a passphrase to protect your account.

## **Stake EOS to Vote for Rewards**

**Step 2:**  Open the **URL** <https://bloks.io/account/hashfineosio> in your browser.

**Step 3 :** Click on "**Login**" and choose "**Wombat**" as your wallet to log in. Staking your EOS tokens adds a three-day **buffer** to protect them from theft in case your keys are compromised.

**Step 4 :** . Decide the amount of **CPU and NET resources** you want to stake in EOS. For example, you can stake 1000 EOS for CPU and 0.1 EOS for NET.&#x20;

**Step 5 :** After successfully staking, go back to the "**Vote**" button in the upper right. Remember, simply staking won't bring you rewards!   Vote for the '**hashfineosio**' validator.

**Step 6 :**  Congratulations! You have staked resources and voted for **hashfineosio**. Feel free to check the transaction status on bloks.io with the hash provided:\
To check the **status** of your stake, go to the top menu on bloks.io: ***‘Wallet’*****&#x20;→&#x20;*****‘Stake CPU/NET’*****&#x20;→&#x20;*****‘Breakdown’*****.**
